Process: I began with unbleached white at the top and then added pigment dust to the wet surface. Then I scraped the surface side to side lightly mixing the two colors. This created an effect almost like striations in sedimentary rock that once had water flowing –– carving at the rock leaving it permanently scarred –– or to something beautifully sculpted.

The blue area was blended with the upper area, merging them together. This was done with multiple wash layers. The final layer used more pigment that was less viscous than the previous layers. Making bolder marks.
